Brendan just asked for a picture of a Ferret and a Dragon together (since he likes both) and said to use my best judgement. I then presented him with two pictures. Of the pictures, I had decided that the border, an attempt at a stylized woodgrain motiff, was a definite keep, but that the picture of the two sleeping, was the better to be used...Brendan agreed. Here's what I presented him, and what I've done so far. I believe that there is ONE more touch needed.
A ink wash on the border itself in varying shades to give it more depth, and make it less flat and make it stand apart from the picture more...
