Nekocon 2004 Convention Commissions

Please remember, that all Convention Commission pictures shown here are taken with a digital camera. This means if your hand ain't steady, the quality won't be very good. We do the best we can without dragging the entire househould with us...

Bookmarks / Badges. I actually was only asked to do 3 custom jobs this time around. I did Naruto and Fruits Basket and Pretear. The first one here is Zabusa and Naruto. It was colored in, but I forgot to take a pic of it before I laminated it and sent it on its way to its new home...ah well.

The second one is Tohru with Kyo and Yuki. This one IS in color. I found the side with Tohru and the cat and rat more fun to draw...for some reason, I had trouble with Kyo and Yuki's faces....*confused*.

The last bookmark/badge was from Pretear. I have no idea who the kid is...but he's cute! My first Chibi! I did mess it up, but it was too late to fix it...i was so upset...

Original Characters: I was also asked to do 2 original characters. A catboy (wow! okay, we're at Neko, I expected cats! but usually people ask for catGIRLS so I was quite surprised and happy to be asked to do a catBOY!) with wings. The pose and clothing and everything - the girl was very specific. This is also one of my first attempts at leather. I mean I've drawn leather before, but it never came out really well. This is why you see here the picture before and after its colored.

Here is the other orginal character - this person was ALSO pretty specific - a wolfman with wings, in a bright blue robe - like outfit. He actually gave me a pic with how the robe was designed, where the scars on his face were and where all the black parts of him were. It was kinda cool and I liked how this came out as well

Drawn Unseen: I was asked to do pictures from anime I've never even seen....Wolf's Rain and Nei? I was asked to draw a pic of the one guy (kiba?) going to kiss the forehead of the other guy (okay, i can't even REMEMBER his name at all). She gave me line art...and then WROTE DOWN which colors they had for hair and outfits...I've never seen the real thing, but I've been told I got the colors PERFECT (I'm so glad!). For Nei -the idea came about when the guy said that she loved to eat but was also hyperactive which gave me the idea of what would happen if she tried to cook....

My Favorites!: From one of my favorite games : Magus of Chrono Trigger. I've always loved the game, and I've drawn Magus a number of times, but this time...was the first time I've liked the result. Thank you's go to the person who gave me permission to sell the black and white version of this as a print! You rock!

One of my favorite Shows/Manga : One Piece. This is Shanks - Luffy's Hero, you could say. Also a great thanks go out to the person who gave me permission to sell this piece as a black and white print! :) You rock too! This is a progression from Pencil, to Ink, then finally to color:
