Using the picture provided from the convention of the mascots, I decided to enter the tee shirt contest. about 8 days before it ended, I decided to do it. 6 days before it ended, I started sketching out a rough. Before the end of the day, I had all the elements for the black and white version of the picture except one done and scanned in then meshed together. First, the reference: Here are elements #1 (the mascots themselves) and #2 (a background). I am primarily a fantasy artist, so I basically just did my take on the mascots in my genre and style. I did alter them a tad to fit in with my style, but I did try to make the physical (not the dressing) alterations as minimal as possible as I Did want them recognizable as the Convention Mascots. This is what it looks like all put together (still missing element #3): Element #3 both versions: Finished the faerie and that mesh while working on Monday. Color blocked it on Tuesday and Wendsday, but had no more time to work on it till friday morning. (the day before it was due!)
