Dragon Press Graphics -2002 Commissions :<p> Evelynn's Parents House

First, the photos I am using. Evelynn was VERY thorough in taking pictures of her house. In one respect, she had to be, becuase she's asking for something a little different then those in the past. She wanted a view of this house from THREE sides! So she got three far away views and several close up views....and then took several more for good measure. This house is over 60 years old and Evelynn estimates that it might even be closer to 80 years old and it exists right here in downtown Nashua!

In these pictures, you'll note that this house is very different then most houses you see these days. You probably won't put you're finger on it right away, but once I tell you what it is, you'll say: "Of course! Thats what the difference is!" The difference is literally the TEXTURE of the house. Note that no matter where you look in those pictures there is texture. Brickwork, Stonework, Diamond tiles, Rectangle tiles, trellises, rails, panels - everywhere you look! Its a refreshing look at houses. And a challenge to draw without making it to complicated. And so without further ado! Photos and the START of my pictures....

THE LEFT SIDE:

You can see that I've added the rest of the hedge, as well as the fence, sidewalk and siding tiles of the house.

And Finished at Last!

THE RIGHT SIDE:

*note: my picture appears to be bending. Why this is, is that these three pictures are on a much larger sheet and I had to manuever to get any of them to show up in the scanner at all, because while each house individually would fit, the paper wouldn't.

Finished at Last!

THE FRONT:

I do believe The front is finished. :)

And lastly - for balancing, I have matching corners (plus with this picture of the corner you can see the shed that I've added to the picture of the front -which I had forgotten to put in, cause I didn't realize you could see it so well from that angle, and I should have!)
